Stone Age

Next time you find yourself between a rock and a hard place, you might consider leaning on the stone, as it has healing and therapeutic energy. Even the august American Gem Society acknowledges that there’s more to gemstones besides beauty. Check out these shining examples:

Amber – Thought to aid memory loss, purify the body, alleviate headaches, and bone and heart problems, Amber is known for its stress relieving and calming properties.

Amethyst – Considered the gemstone of meditation, peace, balance, courage, and inner strength.

Aquamarine – Aids the liver, throat, stomach, jaw, teeth, eyes, and ears. Aquamarine is also known for releasing fear, calming nerves, and bringing mental clarity.

Lapis – Thought to aid in the alleviation of insomnia and depression, Lapis is also known for creating openness, truthfulness, and creativity.

Onyx – Associated with the root chakra, Onyx brings spiritual inspiration, and control over emotions.

Topaz – One of the most powerful gemstones, Topaz facilitates the balance of emotions and provides protection from greed.

Turquoise – A gemstone steeped in lore and tradition, Turquoise is a healing and balancing stone. Many Native Americans prize this beauty.

I’m not suggesting that everyone race out and adorn themselves with beads and baubles plucked from Gump’s latest jewelry catalog. Instead, connect with stones that suit you. Years prior to my discovering I was psychic, I was drawn to Tiger’s Eye. Initially, I thought it was only because of its unique green and gold striped appearance. But, I’ve since learned that among its positives is the integration of spirit with worldly energy. The other gemstone to which I’m attracted is Red Carnelian, which has a flash of autumn brilliance. One of its strengths is calming fears about death, rebirth and the overall cycle of life. The bracelets I had strung of each stone are perfect companions for this part of my spiritual journey.

So, what rocks your world?

Love and light,

Tony

I’m thinking I need to cloak myself in amber! 🙂 Very interesting information, but not surprising since gemstones come from the earth!
