Spiritual Retreats

I’m a perpetual student. And, while there’s much to learn by just experiencing day-to-day activities and encounters, it’s refreshing to set aside some time for structured spiritual growth. If you’re looking for ideas as to where to gain additional insights, here are a few spiritual retreat suggestions.

Edgar Cayce’s Association for Research and Enlightenment – Located in Virginia Beach, VA, the campus is named after the modern-day grandfather of psychic awareness. Through his medical readings, the late Cayce helped thousands of people heal and find a deeper connection to spirit. His legacy lives on at this facility that hosts a variety of retreats and conferences each year.

Topics for the year-round conferences include hypnosis training, meditation training and mentoring, animal communication, past life regression hypnotherapy and, of course, psychic development. In addition, there’s a six-night wellness retreat in early summer held along the shores of Virginia Beach.

Esalen Institute – With jaw-dropping views of the Pacific Ocean, Esalen is a favorite among spiritual seekers. Nestled in the cradle of California’s Big Sur region, the sanctuary offers a wide range of self growth and development workshops.

Attendees can select from courses that relate to, among other things, mid-life changes, advance yoga training, a deeper understanding of love, a blending of masculine and feminine energies, and how food and nutrition can nurture the soul. And, for movie buffs, Esalen even has an inspirational film festival each year.

The Chopra Center – As one of the leading advocates and teachers of universal spiritual growth, Deepak Chopra has not only written dozens of books, but has developed a plethora of firsthand learning modules.

Situated just outside of San Diego, The Chopra Center features monthly retreats that explore meditation, women’s issues, and creating balance in both mind and body, to name just a few.

These are just a handful of opportunities for those who are wanting to schedule some important “me” time. Enjoy your journeys!

Love and light,

Tony
