Mana, Moai & Me!

“After I had my out-of-body experience, my life changed forever!” You might think that I said that, but those words were uttered within the first five minutes by the first person I met, Carlos, my expedition guide, on Easter Island. Coincidence? No way! Thus, began my incredible spiritual week on the most remote place on Earth.

Located in the middle of the South Pacific (it’s a five-hour plane ride from Santiago, Chile), Easter Island, or Rapa Nui as it’s called by its inhabitants, is filled with mystery and spiritual abundance. Since a child, I’ve always been fascinated with this faraway land and its many wonders, most noticeably being the towering stone statues, or moai, (see moai photo below) which populate the island. It wasn’t until after the discovery of my psychic-medium gifts more than five and a half years ago, that I began to explore my interest in Easter Island. During that process, I unearthed that I was a warrior there in a previous life. This trip, a return home, was my chance to reconnect to a world I, undoubtedly, never forgot.

So, I was grateful that it was Carlos, born in Chile, who greeted me at the modest airport on Day One. After I explained to him the reason for my visit, he said, “I tell people that I was drawn to come here. It sounds like that’s the case with you as well.” Once he divulged his out-of-body story, I knew we’d bond quickly. So did he. Understanding the importance of my journey, Carlos shared his knowledge of the moai and their ceremonial platforms, called ahus. It was these sacred places where the natives formally honored their deep belief in mana, the guidance of spiritual good from their deceased tribal leaders. And, that spiritual energy is still very much present today in traditions like umu, feast celebrations to honor mana and ancestors.

It’s impossible to select a favorite trip moment. Whether exploring caverns whose walls were embedded with ancient drawings, hiking to the top of majestic volcanic craters with jaw-dropping ocean views or boating on the bluest of waters, I was in my element. However, I felt a strong spiritual attraction to the moai quarry, where the multi-ton statues were carved out of a mountain before being relocated miles away (that’s another story) to their ahus. Perhaps, it was because I’d seen mental visions, probably linked to my past life, of that particular locale years prior to this trip. All I know is that I wanted that afternoon at the quarry to last longer. I wasn’t ready to leave. Sensing that, Carlos suggested that we take an additional hike through the adjoining brush which was scattered with toppled moai, who ‘slept’ facedown undisturbed for thousands of years, having never made it to their respective ahus. Step-by-step, I felt like I was retracing paths I’d covered once before.

When I wasn’t seeing the sights, I enjoyed my own moments of meditation. And, daily, I’d receive many enlightened visions and yes, even visits from spirits. These were personal insights relating to my deeper understanding of a past and its impact in my present and future. I also received insights for others too, which even led to a mediumship session for an island native, where I delivered messages from her deceased mother. What made it especially beautiful was how spirit was able to communicate despite our language differences.

Please know that I could go on and on about my magical and mystical week. I’ve got enough information and stories (including a historic battle related to my prior existence on the island) for my second book (still have to get the first book published!!!).

On my final night, Carlos and his wife invited me over to their charming home. Funny, over glasses of wine, we said nothing about farewells, but instead, we talked about when we’d see each other again. And, we will.

Love and light,

Tony

I was so amazed when I first saw them, as this was one of the very first pictures I took on the island. I have the strongest feeling that this spiritual energy was with me (and still is) during my entire trip!

This trip sounds like a book I read once called The Celestine Prophecy. If you’ve never heard of it, you should check it out. It may feel very similar to what you went through.
Sounds like this trip was everything you needed it to me. I’m so happy for you that you got to experience a dream goal as well as getting so much out of it. 🙂

The trip was amazing on so many levels. And, thanks for the book suggestion. I very familiar with it, but have never actually sat down and read it. Also, my guide on Easter Island had seen the DMT Spirit Molecule video (another connection)!

Honey! Thank you so much for your inspiring words. I bet you could look at some of your own pictures and find spiritual orbs. And, yes, meeting Carlos was part of the divine plan. (And, I’m with you: Got to get that book published soon!) Love you too!
